Just bought an 89 Accord, no manual yet from sellers. Heater/defroster and AC doesn't work. When I change settings I can hear the the changing of vent positions but there doesn't appear to be air coming from any of the vents or any heat. Have checked inside fuse (it's good) and fuse under the hood (also good). Is this a blower motor gone bad? How hard to replace? Live in the pacific NW w/no garage to work in and it's about 25 degrees...
Sounds like the blower motor, Get a test light and hook it up to the wires going to the motor this will tell you if power is getting to the motor . Hopfully it is , Just pull the panel off on the pasangers side under the dash and you can see the motor . It's easy to change and should fix the problem. If you get no power it check for power at the switch on the dash . It could have gone bad !!
