I tried Google by adding 1986 Monte Carlo SS dash cluster and found people out there selling these. Try this and see what comes up.

I would go to a nearby GM dealer and explain to them you want to buy column parts and would like to see an exploded view diagram to "shop" from.
They should be more then happy to print one off for you. Good luck

I can't see it being a problem. SS was basically just an option on a platform for all Monte Carlos.Everything from an SS should bolt on or in, depending on how far you go with it. Hope this helps.
