I assume you are changing the timing belt. I am a mechanic and although not familiar with your vehicle, you would usually locate the timing mark on the bottom pulley and line this up. Careful not to turn the engine over too hard as pistons can strike valves. then you should look for similar marks on the camshaft pulley[s], and line these up. Then fit belt. This has to be tensiond correctly which is important. Hope this helps. Mike the bike01.

SOURCE: should O/D off always light or unlight?

The light should normally be "off", by pushing the small button on the transmission shifter. For power or passing at high speed, push the button again to light "O/D off", signifying that the overdrive is off. Overdrive (O/D) is normally for cruising at highway speeds to maximize gas mileage. Having it off increases the motor RPM's, increasing power, and decreasing mileage and gas efficiency.

For most purposes turn "on" overdrive, and the light on the dash should go out.

Your engine is probably an EJ-DE twin cam 12 valve.

Generally Daihatsu belts have marks on them that line up with dimples on the sprockets for the intial phasing. You rotate the engine to top dead centre on No1 piston and install the belt from there. The cams should be not be putting any pressure on the intake and exhaust valves of No1 when phased correctly.

How to change oil power whell stering daihatsu sirion

Are you after 'changing the power steering oil'?? As your typing seems to have given some odd answers.. If YES.. power steering oil, then you should know there is NO need to ever change this oil.. However, it SHOULD be a reddish colour.. if it is deep black, or smells 'burnt' that is a sign that there is other faults and therefore needs investigation. If on the other hand, there is no deep black colour, a reddy brown is NORMAL and just continue to top up.. I hope this answers your question. Ok?

No reverse is the most common symptom of a failed transmission. You will need to remove the ****** and have it rebuilt/overhauled.
