Chevy silverado 1500hd starts runs then immediately stalls, problem?

Only happens when very cold (less than -10 degrees). Recently the security light has been occassionally coming on when driving. Dealer looked at it and was able to confirm the issue but didn't find anything. (Fuel pressure ok) Hard to troubleshoot because of temp - once it warms up everything works fine (except for the occassional security light). Thoughts? Could this have anything to do with the Passlock security system? If so, how can it be troubleshot/repaired?

Check or change the etc switch by the thermostat outlet it tells the computer the temp and how to mix the fuel. It looks like a temp sw. but the temp sw is located In the head .

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump

the problem you are discribing would lead me to belive your fuel filter is clogged which is a simple fix 3 dollar part at any part store or on the worse hand your fuel pump itself could be weak you can open the gas tank cover and have another person turn the truck key to the on position without going far enough to start you will hear a faint whining noise if it is going bad or a louder noise if it is fine Good Luck

My 1999 Chevy S10 4.3L won't start in the cold with a new battery and alternator. This only happens in 10 degrees F or below. What could be the issue?

can be several things. Like ice in a relay, oxidised contact, having a too high resistance in the cold. Low capacity of the battery. It is different for the battery, to deliver less then 1 amp for a radio, or 150 amps for the starter. Just pick up the multi meter and start checking voltages on different places in the start circuit.

My 2007 silverado was fine when i parked it last nite..now it wont start..plenty of battery and lights..but no ignition..and the steering wheel is not locked when in park..it will not start in park, or...

The steering wheel will not "lock" until you turn it about 45 degrees from center...this is normal. If your security light is flashing, there is a problem with your security system that is keeping you from starting the engine. Try this: Set the parking brake. Turn the ignition to the "RUN" position and wait about 10 minutes for the security light to stop flashing. When the light stops flashing, crank the engine without turning the key to the off position. If it starts, take the vehicle to get the security system checked. If it doesn't start, tow it. You probably need a new PassKey sensor.

My 1999 chevy silverado is cutting out and dying. i've changed the fuel filter, it ran fine about four miles then stalled and won't start.it will start and idle then seems to run out of gas.

Wouldn't happen to be a diesel, would it? If so, do a search on ebay for a remote fsd/pmd module. Fixed my 95 'rado (in less than 20 minutes) with a 6.5 turbo diesel -it would stall wherever and whenever it wanted, without warning.
