Generally speaking, eight cylinder engines have the top gear dot on the bottom and the bottom gear dot on the top - facing each other.
You may want to check a repair book or shop manual for your specific engine.

Chevy 2.8 1993 s10' timing chain and gears installing

Replacing the chain and gears requires removing the water pump, dropping the oil pan, removing the balancer and timing cover. Rotate the crank so the dots on the cam gear and crank gear line up at the 6 and 12 o clock positions respectively. Unbolt the cam gear and remove it and the chain. If you need to remove the crank gear you can use a three jaw puller or something similar to pull it off. Reinstall the crank gear lining up the gear with the keyway on the crank and press it on with the appropriate tool. Install the cam gear with the chain and make sure dots line up again. It may be necessary to remove the valve covers and rocker arms as well to rotate the cam shaft if need be.

I have replaced the starter, sensors, timiming chain , turns over but wont run had it running once few a few minutes some said there is a security system for the engine but i dont even know where it would...

My geuss would be the timeing chain is not correctly alined . Alot of chevey engines need to have #4 cylinder at top dead center to make the timeing correct not #1 when the dots line up on the timing gears 4.3 is a good example i don't know what you have but you should check this

How to change a timing belt on 91 S10 2.8L v6

That motor has a timing chain, not a timing belt. Replacing it requires removing the water pump, dropping the oil pan, removing the balancer and timing cover. I changed my timing chain and gears and i cant get my timing set for nothing can you tell me why or point me in the right direction

Verify that the distributor rotor is pointing directly at the #1 cylinder spark plug wire tower on the distributor cap, with engine set to TDC on the compression stroke for the #1 cylinder.
If not, and you have not touched the distributor previously, you have not set up the valve timing properly. Recheck your timing gear and chain alignment marks.
Hope any of this helps you. Good Luck!

I need a diagram for a 94 oldsmobile cutlass supreme timing chain

There is a dot on each of the gears one on the large cam gear and one on the small crank gear. The crank gear dot on the teeth of the gear should point to the 12oclock postion straight up then the one on the cam gear point sin the 6 O clock position so the dots meet each other then you put the chain on the cam gear then around the crank gear then bolt on the cam gear the dots should still be lined up with each other.this puts the engine in the #4 firing postion

Timing chain diagram

Just wrap the chain around the gears and lineup the dots. dot to dot and put them on. That's how it goes. The timing itself is not adjustable. It's controlled by the engines computer. It's that simple.
