2000 Oldsmobile Alero losing water and running hot.

A worn water pump is the most likely. If the coolant is going down, the water is going somewhere.

The most common reasons an Oldsmobile Alero is overheating are a coolant leak (water pump, radiator, hose etc.), the radiator fan, or a failed thermostat. Coolant leak (water pump, radiator, hose etc.)

Oldsmobile Alero Overheating - RepairPal

Videos on overheating. You probably have air in the system from when you replaced the thermostat. The coolant system needs 'burping' of air.

Water pump stops pumping at ho water pump stops pumping at high RPMs

check for blocked radiator cores
check that if the thermostat is at the bottom hose in the block that it is operational ( opening)
check that the bottom radiator hose is not collapsing at high rpms water pumps very seldom stop pumping unless they cannot get water to the vanes from thermostat is not opening ( too cold or faulty)
radiator is blocked
air lock in system
bottom hose is too soft and collapsing under suction

How do i remove radiator from my 2002 jeep grand cherokee overland 4.7 ho v8

On older jeeps, the upper radiator support is held by torx screws, T30, if I recall, but maybe T27.
Drain radiator, remove upper and lower hoses, disconnect transmission cooler lines, remove upper radiator support panel, and hood latch if necessary. Check for obstructions-radiator should be free to lift out. Funny that the radiator support and hood latch were both held by torx screws, but were different sizes.

Ho do i change the alternator on a 95 Nissan maximum V6.?not your normal swap out,! looks like i have to take out the radiator.is that so?

No, but you do have to take the fan and shroud off. then you pull the compressor loose and pull forward.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the splash guard on the right side of the vehicle.
  3. Loosen the alternator belt idler pulley.
  4. Slip the drive belt off the alternator pulley.
  5. Remove the four air conditioning compressor mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the radiator fan and fan shroud.
  7. Move the air conditioning compressor forward.
  8. Disconnect the alternator harness connector.
  9. Remove the alternator mounting bolts, and lower the alternator from the vehicle.

Alternator not giving out any power? Nissan Altima 2001

I think you should just run it for a while. It should dry out. Shouldn't take too long, i would guess about 15 minutes or so. Maybe you've already done that?
