1994 Ford Taurus GL 3.0L will not start. Cooling fan and fuel on constantly with key In "on" position. Has new relay control module. Check engine light does not come on when key is on.

After exiting the highway, it began to surge as if it wanted to stall. Accelerating seemed to keep it going. The next day, ran fine. The next morning the vehicle would not start. Turn the ignition key to "on" and the fuel pump and cooling fan would run constantly and the check engine light would flicker. No codes are in the ECM and all fuses are good. Today the fuel pump does not come and I replaced the control relay module. the result, no change.

I have always heard that a constantly running fuel pump and cooling fan is an indicator that your ecu is going bad, horrible words to hear i know but definitely do some research on this and if it is the problem luckily there are decent finds in scrap yards to be had for little money. hope this helps and sorry about the bad luck :(

SOURCE: After replacing fuel pump it run when it wants to.

In our shop we have had the same problem before, it turned out to be a new defective fuel pump by Bosh, two bad ones in a row, try a ohm meter on the pump when it runs and when does not compare the numbers , if they are very different, try a new brand of pump.

are u referring to the IRCM? (Integrated relay control module), when u say proper placement what do u mean by this? Have u run a test of the IRCM with a OBD2 scanner, It will produce a code if it is the problem, if u have not scanned the system I strongly suggest you scan the system which will run the IRCM through an active functional test. B3below is the proper relay that a trusted on line parts dealer shows for this van and it does cross over to the ford number u gave.

My 93 taurus turns over but no start the CCRM buzzes when the key is on and I have constant power to the coil wire when not cranking changed CCRM no help used too if I hit CCRM it would stop buzzing

Ignition control module or PCM problem or pick up coil ! The CCRM - constant control relay module just has control relays for the fuel pump , cooling fans , A/C clutch coil control , PCM power . Nothing that would make the coil fire continuosly . I would check out videos on youtube test ford ignition system's ScannerDanner gets his but kicked by an 88 150 EEC IV Ignition

I have a 93 tempo and it won't start. I've replaced the fuel punp, ignition switch and ignition cylinder. The check engine light doesn't even come on when I turn the key to the on position. Fuel pump...

With out doing any electrical test's , just off the top of my head , I'd say the CCRM - constant control relay module is the culprit ! This module houses the fuel pump relay , PCM relay , cooling fan relay an a couple others as well .It should be checked for battery voltage at a couple of place on the connector for the CCRM . An check the grounds as well . When you turn the ignition key to run it powers up the module , that should be checked for battery voltage also . The module is mounted to the driver side shock tower , in the engine compartment !

Location of radiator fan relay 1992 ford tempo gl

The radiator cooling fan relay in ford Tempo gl has been integrated into the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) this is the black box fixed to the left strut tower with the big cable harness on it.

This relay box is commanded by the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) it´s linked to every sensor in the car. (It's located behind the fuse panel next to the steering column.

The PCM supervises various conditions, including the signal that the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor sends and power up the Fan Relay into CCRM to activate the Cooling Fan.

This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Electric fan switch where is it 88 frd taurus 3.0 ltr v6 auto

All the relays are together in a module, call IRCM module,it is located under the long plastic cover on the top of the radiator. I think the engineering number on it is 12B577 ? if there's a problem with one of the relays,it is serviced as a unit.Check all the grounds at the battery too. A common problem with taurus was corrodid cables,
