If diesel, it could be dodgy glow plug(s). Had a similar problem with my s40 and new glow plugs solved it!

Check the catalytic converter. You can do this by banging on it and listen for a rattle. Sometimes, the inside gets melted into a little ball and blocks the exhaust from getting out on acceleration. This will cause a serious loss of power and feel like a trans malfunction.

Disconnecting the battery could reset codes and/or sensor readings in the engine computer.
Is the check engine light on, and have you checked the computer for trouble codes ? Is fuel pressure normal ?

I have a 99 ford f150. Sometimes it runs perfect, then out of no where when I try to accelerate it vibrates bad and becomea hesitant. When I came to a stop I switched threw all gears and it seems like it...

This sounds like you might have a bad plug wire or something else in the ignition system is arcing to ground. A quick way to verify this is to run the truck in Park at idle. Next, spray the ignition wires with Windex. You'll notice the truck starting to rough up and might even see the bad wire arcing to ground. A complete tuneup would be recommended in this case.
I hope this helps! :)

Rough idle, sputtering like its outta gas but it aint.

Could be a vacuum leak as it falls off under acceleration and does not play a part then. Check for broken or cracked hoses.....

My 3.4 camaro has an extremely rough idle sputters and doesent seem to run right at all. in park and neutral its bad in drive and reverse its even worse. i replaced the egr valve cleaned out where it goes...

I know you are saying it is an egr code being set but I believe it is very possible map sensor can cause this sort of issue or if it is possible can you disconnect the exhaust long enough to run it for a 5 minutes? Catylitic converter beginning to have issues. just a couple tips.

1996 Buick Roadmaster rough start sputters and

Check the mass air flow sensor (clean both heated wires with carb cleaner and Q-tip). does not always work...sometimes they are actually bad. Also check map sensor. Check for vacuum leaks at all hoses and fittings. If engine rpm drops sufficiently, engine vacuum will drop which may have caused a/c malfunction (controls work with vacuum signal) so I wouldn't worry about that 'till the run problem is dealt with.
