I have replaced the plugs, wires and coil pack and it still has no power and a rough idle. The check engine light is flashing and the code represents an engine misfire. What else could I check, this is getting expensive.
To clarify what you said, the code is probably for a cylinder miss but the problem may not be ignition as you have found out.
The code means the computer has seen a drop in RPM for one or more cylinders, but not why.
In addition to the ignition system, it could be a fuel injector or compression problem.

Solution is in the wiring harness....these cars are noted for this as it runs under the rad exposing it to the elements and corrosion. You will need a dealer with the proper scanner to read the code & find the wire.

The only thing left is the injector or a vacuum leak on the manifold gasket sucking air in and causing a lean condition. Thats is its the only common issue providing you dont have a head gasket issue leaking coolant on that cylinder and the compression and valves are not leaking. The old spark plug should show a coolant issue if present. The white part will be shiney if you have a coolant loss. If the coolant is looking real dark you should have the cooling system checked for gas being pushed into the cooling system on compression stroke thru the head gasket.

The intake gaskets leaking would cause the engine to have a misfire. Get a can of Brake Clean and spray in around the intake manifold on the top of the engine while the engine is running. The engine idle will go up or down if there is a leak. Also try swapping the spark plug with another spark plug to see if the misfire moves to another cylinder. If it moves then you have a bad spark plug. I hope this helps.

mine just had that problem...its your M.A.P...I went to the shop to get my check engine light to go off and it said my MAP was bad so i had it fixed and I dont know what they did but after they put it on my car started misfiring...I just left mine unplugged and it runs like new...but if i plug it up my car misfires again...

Without your actual trouble code, I am assuming that you are have a misfire on cylinder # 5. The computer cannot really tell what is causing the misfire only that cyl 5 is not putting out full power. If it misfires when cold then smooths out as it warms up, I would say it is probably an injector that is sticky, as it warms up it starts working properly.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your suggestion. I will have that checked out. I will also ask my mechanic what the actual trouble code says."

Happened to me eventually my fuel pump failed and gas line rusted. Replaced with a new fuel filter and pump and everything was fine.
