SOURCE: REAR DOOR LOCK

you either have a faulty central locking motor or the wiring harness may be damaged.
Remove the door panel and check if you have a live feed to the central locking motor when you use the fob to lock or unlock. If you have power, then it will most likely be the motor that is at fault.

SOURCE: volvo door locked but open so wont shut

ok ,try this, first unlock the door with the poweer locks then get a screw driver, what u do is where the pin in the door jamb would hit the door latch on the door put the screw driver between the two claw like parts that move inward on the latch and pull the door handle like you normally would and then pull the screwdriver towards the car at the same time, the two claw like pieces should rotate away from eachother and the door should close now, hope this helps

Ford fiesta ajar light stays on and central lock not working

The central locking will not work when a door is open. find the door which is ajar and fix the door switch. Could be a stuck switch (either open or shut) May just need a whack with a soft faced hammer on the door frame. Don't hit it too hard you could dent the panels.

COLD START ISSUE

try pushing the 4 wires on the radio supression relay into the connector, then try starting it... does it start, run, then die? those connectors ****, i've had the same prob. have you let it huff on some ether? (starting fluid) does it come to life? that would confirm weather or not it its fuel related. my 740 i was loosing voltage to my injectors 10 volts and under, causeing them to inttermittantly not fire, caused by a bad connection at that supression relay.

Can you lock a '91 740 volvo without the key?

We have the '90 940, have you tried this; when the kids are piling out we reach through the back door and push down the lock button on the drivers door, this locks all the doors without the key...also helps if you have an armful of bags..just make sure your keys aren't still inside!!
