Check engine light / air conditioner

Check engine light will come on and off, lately has been staying on. Hyundai dealer replaced vacum cannister at fuel take (took two trips to get it right), light still malfunctioning. Also air conditioner will work for a short period and quits working, can hear fan running but no cold air. Freon has been checked and part was changed on condenser which had a recall. Have taken to two different shops on three occasions and still have same problem.

SOURCE: can't reset monitors

you could have a break in what is called the keep alive memory power to the computer. each time you shut off the car the computer resets itself. the trick is to put enough miles on the car in one day and not shut off the ign untill you get the test done. or find the break in the keep alive memory wire to the computer.
good luck chris

SOURCE: air conditioner not cool

Look at the Low Pressure Side port connector to determine if the system is compatible with R134 refrigerant. If you see quick connect valves, it is R134 compatible and you can continue with the recharge. If you see screw on valves, the system takes R12. Mixing the two may cause serious damage to the system. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Did you forget to tighten the gas cap correctly? This has caused many many lights to come on. If not, then drive it till you can get it to the dealer.

Car doesn't seem to get enough gas to engine

Have you done a tune lately on the car?
I would also suspect a fuel pump problem is you've done a tune up recently.

Can I replace my gas cap?

I think you may be overfilling your gas tank. If you do this, petrol can get down the vapour lines to the charcoal cannister under the hood causing it to become saturated. This in turn would set off the cannister purge sensor and cause the check engine light ot come on. Try filling your tank only to the first click-off.

I have a 2001 F250 Superduty 7.3l Diesel. When I

I had a problem with vacuum in my F250 diesel. It had a new vacuum pump but would kick out of cruise control every time the vacuum pressure dropped. It turned out to be the vacuum reserve cannister had holes in it.

Seems you reach a tipping point and then all the vacuum systems mess up. You might want to check the reserve cannister and any vacuum servo your 4x4 might have. You can check most of the vacuum stuff with the engine OFF using a vacuum pump. You could have a leaking vacuum pot operating the ductwork. Check your diesel vacuum pump for output and loose belts.

Check engine light does not turn off

If the light is still on there is a problem that is causing it to not turn off. If you replaced the EVAP cannister take a look at the EVAP solenoid. It trips the same code as the cannister and is more often the cause of the light rather than the cannister.

The service air bag light is on.

Sometimes the wiring under the passenger seat can become compromised from objects in floor becoming wedged under the seat.May need to be reconnected if possible..Usually if the air bag light remains on , it means the air bag will not engage if needed. Should have the dealer service department check for you.

Chronic problem with airbag light staying on.

Not sure of the year of your car, but there was a recall to resecure the harness connector. If it is 2005 the entire airbag harness should be replaced, Sorry only the dealer can access the air bag info.
