Check engine light will come on and off, lately has been staying on. Hyundai dealer replaced vacum cannister at fuel take (took two trips to get it right), light still malfunctioning. Also air conditioner will work for a short period and quits working, can hear fan running but no cold air. Freon has been checked and part was changed on condenser which had a recall. Have taken to two different shops on three occasions and still have same problem.

you could have a break in what is called the keep alive memory power to the computer. each time you shut off the car the computer resets itself. the trick is to put enough miles on the car in one day and not shut off the ign untill you get the test done. or find the break in the keep alive memory wire to the computer.
good luck chris

Look at the Low Pressure Side port connector to determine if the system
is compatible with R134 refrigerant. If you see quick connect valves,
it is R134 compatible and you can continue with the recharge. If you
see screw on valves, the system takes R12. Mixing the two
may cause serious damage to the system. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Did you forget to tighten the gas cap correctly? This has caused many many lights to come on. If not, then drive it till you can get it to the dealer.
