How about does it loose power when accelerating all the time ? if so you might check that fuel filter first .. I always start with the simple least expensive item ..

All vehicles will lose a certain amount of power when going up hill or towing depending on how steep the hill or how heavy the load. Do you shift down when needed.
This is a hard question to answer without more information. If the vehicle has a sensation of slipping it is usally the automatic transmission that is at fault and it probably has to be rebuilt. The sensation of power loss could be from the slipping transmission. Try manually downshifting the trans. to a lower gear when going up a hill and see what happens. That can tell you if the problem is the trans, or the engine,
You will need to Change the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter and Also Check the Belt Tension. If it is even a little loose it will not Charge the Battery and could cause this problem also. Let me know what you find.
