1993 jeep grand Cherokee...stutter in drive at low rpm

My jeep starts fine ..put it into drive on a level rd and dont touch the gas it crawls foward...tap the gas a little it stutters...once the rpms climb it drives fine..same thing in reverse..does not like to stop on hills likes to stall right off the bat..any help?

no check engine light on ...but the ebrake light comes on if i slow down too fast...the it goes off after i step on the gas

I have tried to shift it manually from low to drive and no change

Hello;
Have you checked your fuel pressure and volume? You may not be getting the ful sufficiently to the injectors. Also, change your fuel filter if you haven't already. Is the check engine light on?

Hello curt88;

Oddly, the e brake issue is seperate from your accelleration issue. That could just be a weak switch. Let me know how the fuel pressure is.

My 2005 jeep grand cherokee has stopped allowing me to shift into low gear while coming down a snowy hill. I could upshift or downshift but no more. It just stays in DRIVE forcing me to use the breaks

only clue here is Drive, we drive M/t so that matters.
as does what a/t you have and if 4wd,
dont break the brakes, its dangerous. LOL
I think (alldata.com login and look) the transmission is shifted
with Tcm AND THE MANUAL lever
my guess its using the lever. right. ?
the lever moves a cable and the cable changes the trans internal mANUAL valve, if the cable is good, the valve is failing
levels at spec, using operators guide RULES> dont guess, read.
is the filter fresh, and AFT fresh
if not , may be the 50k service is NOW moment,????????

or, is engine rpm below, 800, foot off gas.
that failure causes, the A;T clutch to release.
so not looking at RPM of engine is missed critical fact.

Spark plugs worn,fouled or not gapped properly.Fault in the fuel or electrical systems.Faulty spark plug wires.Vacuum leaks at intake or hose connections.Uneven or low cylinder compression check compression.
