Could be the oil pressure switch. But ive also seen the oil filter housing leaking on thesed 2.2L accord engines. If its coming from even higher then all of that then its the valve cover gasket leaking. i Suggest cleaning off the engine first with brake cleaner to really see exactly where it is coming from

Don't use brake fluid to clean anything. Use a tracer dye and put into motor oil. The cost is about $8. Then after 5 minutes let vehicle cool down and then wipe the area to view for an oil leak with a rag. Put on yellow safety glasses and get out the UV Light. The tracer dye will illuminate perfectly. It will be very easy to pinpoint the leak . Drain oil and drop filter. Repair the damaged part/gasket and use super weatherstrip adhesive from 3m. Great stuff. Install new filter and oil plug and fill with new castrol oil. The problem is solved very easily and the car is ready to take for a drive! Re-check your work after taking on a test drive. Good luck!

SOURCE: HAVE A OIL LEAK COMING FROM ABOVE THE OIL FILTER.

Has the oil filter just been replaced? Sometimes the old gasket sticks to the mounting area, causing leakage if the new filter is installed on top of it. It is also possible the gasket was for some reason missing on a new filter. Let me know if this is not the cause, I'll try to help further.

If it is leaking at the oil filter the previous rubber gasket may have stuck to the block. When the new oil filter was installed then the gasket was doubled and will leak.

Engine oil leaking near sending unit. Replaced unit and oil still leaks. What could be the cause?

Look up overhead above the sending unit for any oil that maybe dripping from above, makeing you think it's the sending unit leaking. If not then you may use a little thread sealer to seal the leak. Also check to see if the sending unit is loose and the threads may not be the same as the old unit you removed (metric/standard/pipe) Hope this will help you.

Has a bad oil leak coming from under the car . The only time it leaks is when the car is running, was told that it could be the oil pan gasket or the oil sending unit, what I wanted to know is where the...

The oil pressure sending unit screws into the engine block so you will need to look between the oil pan and the head.I suggest that you try tightening your oil filter first.

Where is the oil pressure sending unit located?

The pressure sending unit is located on the passenger side rear of the engine just above and slightly to the left of the filter and filter housing.

Oil leak

This problem is more than likely caused by someone hitting your oil sending unit which is located right above the oil filter on those models which is a poor design. The part can be bought at a parts store for about $25 and will only take a few minutes to replace. The job can be performed easier with a oil pressure sending unit socket which is designed for removing them.

Honda accord 1992 I have a oil leak around the oil filter is it

is it an ex?
is it a bad leak?
it could be 2 things
1) oil pressure sending unit above the filter
2) "o" ring between the oil cooler and block on ex models only. the oil cooler is between the filter and block with 2 coolant hoses attached to it. also might be the oil filter. i replace alot of sending units and oil cooler o rings.
