Electrical glich in 1993 Chrysler New Yorker

There is a weird problem with the electrical system in the New Yorker that I have. Some times all the instrument gadges peg out and the speedometer stops registering MPH. Then suddenly they start working again. The headlights and turn signals, wipers and heater all work when this glich occurs. I can't figure out what's causing it.

Well all of your heads up gauges are controlled by the computer. It sounds like you have an intermitent short in the computer. this is not a fixable thing, The computer must be replaced.

Have you checked under the dash for a loose ground wire? I ran into the exact same issue once before. If I'm not mistaken it is on the drivers side. Usually it is held on with a screw to the bottom front edge of the dash itself. Either that or the harness that attaches to the back of the dashes printed circuit. Hope this helps out, or at least, narrows it down to the problem. Best wishes to you.
