Jaguar2005 x-type electrical seat and mirror problem

Depends on which model car you are talking about, some do most don't. The mirrors and seat warmers are more likely to be on separate fuses.

Usually the driver door module has failed when this happen , does a amber light flash on dash saying config d?

the motors stick ( freeze ) i have heard that disconect the battery for an hour helps with this,and you may need to reprogram everything after..

Open the boot lid and drivers door, and switch on the ignition. Rock the valet switch, in the centre console, 5 times. The system will chirp to indicate it has entered learning mode.

On models with seat/mirror/steering wheel memory functions, the first remote will be linked to memory 1, second to memory 2 etc.

Press the larger, lock, button of the remote. The system will chirp to confirm it has got the signal. If it doesn't receive any signals for 15 seconds, it will chirp twice and exit learn mode.

To programme further remotes, rock the valet switch once. The system will chirp twice for remote number two, three times for number three etc, then press the lock button of the remote as above.

When finish, wait 15 seconds for the system to time out and chirp twice, turn off the ignition, close the doors and boot lid and the job is done!

Most probably you have a problem with the motor in charge of that function. If the seat goes front and back , that means that electrical is fine and you need to check one of two things : 1- Check the motor 2- check the Electrical Module for that seat

are you trting to tighten the mirror glass or the mirror where it attaches to the body? I don't think glass is removable in 99. Only can try to press on glass to seat if unseated. not too hard.

1. Remove the front door trim panel; refer to Section 501-05 .
2. go to car-part.com for a used mirror. Page with * is cheapest seller.

1. Remove the speaker.
   1. Remove the screws.
   1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
   1. Remove the speaker.

1. Remove the outside rear view mirror (17682).
   1. Disconnect the power mirror wiring clips.
   1. Remove the outside rear view mirror nuts.
   1. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
      • Feed the power mirror wiring through the opening in the front door (20124).

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Exterior Mirror Glass, 2001 model Removal
NOTE: Exterior mirror glass is serviceable only on vehicles built after July of 2001.
NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar.
All mirrors

1. Position the glass in the full up position.

1. Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.

1. Release the exterior mirror glass.
   1. Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch.
   1. Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.

Heated mirrors

1. Position aside the exterior mirror glass.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

1. Remove the exterior mirror glass (17K707) passenger side or (17T675) driver side.

Installation
Heated mirrors

1. Connect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

1. Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

1. Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.

Expect they have missed reconnecting a multi plug electrical connection behind the door panel.

The trim will have to come off, to check.

change O2 sensor their cheap enough ,heater valve not sure about ,seat and mirrors is either a fuse or a relay

Hi ms put on the ING and set the seat steering wheel and if you have it  mirrors press the memory button and then press one. same for seconed driver, you can set alarm blippers for each person  D

I have not found a solution to the problem but I don't want to have to pay some one over the internet to tell me how to plug a wire in. If I am going to do that I may as well take it back to the dealership.
