If the immobiliser is not an issue the next time it happens remove the starter relay and swap with any other relay except fuel pump and ignition.Some times just pulling out and replacing works as the contacts on the relay do not have a good clean contact and provide too much resistance.Sure sounds like a relay begining to fail.good luck

I have the same problem. I put some graphite down the key hole and pushed it around in there and it loosened it up a bit to the point I could turn the ignition. If you have a replacement key, start using that. It should help as well.Teeth on old key may be wearing down. Lastly, I keep a screwdriver in the car to whack against key when it's in the ignition if it's stuck. A few taps on the key will always unlock the ignition.
Or, go but a new ignition and key set....
