Yes there is a plug at bottom. but, you will most likly have to remove the bottle to access the plug. but if you take it to a shop that has a evacuater. they can rinse and **** out the water and repete until it is clean, and not cost that much.

Freeze plug location

Freeze plugs are located mid way down the engine block .
Below the exhust manifolds and above the oil pan.
If you have a V shaped engine their on bolth sides of the block.
Its rare to have a problem with them unless the block freezes although they can rust out and leak.
Their like a bottle cap pushed into the side of the block to keep it from cracking if it dose freeze.
The way to replace them is to drill a large enough hole in them to pop it out with a screw driver of course after you drain the block don't let it fall into the block it could clog the system .
Once you have it out drive the new out in its tapered so its an interferance fix tape it in but don't drive it to far so it falls into the block

Were is the drain plug on block

You could try draining the coolant from the bottom of the radiator, rather than the block.
If you can not find a coolant release valve, try removing the hose from the lowest connection of the radiator.
Make sure that you take the cap of the expansion bottle (or radiator) to ensure that air can enter to let the coolant out.

Washer pump working, no washer fluid reaching window, refilled washer bottle already

sounds like the water hose is kinked or the outlet ( inside the reservoir ) is blocked. also check to see if the spouts are blocked with dirt and stuff,, ( could be a blockage at the 'Y' fitting ). if you disconnect the line from the pump you should be able to blow air through to check flow to the spouts/sprayers.

Winshiled washer does not work

1. ensure that the wash fuse is ok.
2. click the ignition to on but do not start motor. and check for pump noise if not noise then suspect fuse pump, pump connection or washer switch.
3 if you can hear pump. check washer fluid bottle is not empty. check for any dirt in the bottle blocking the pump or pipe.
4 check pipes to washer jets are clear and connected.
5. check washer jets are not blocked, use a wire strand from a wire brush to clear.

is it cold? check that the fluid has not frozen in the system. get the vehicle in the warm and thaw out system once this is down top up with a good windshield antifreeze fluid.

work backwards through the sytem. disconnect water jet pipe and switch on if not fluid. move back to water container see if fluids comes or from there if so then pipes or jets are blocked.

if not pump is defective - blocked or not getting power..

i hope this was useful.

2000 chevy silverado keeps getting hot. Changed thermostat water pump & flushed radiator. Keeps getting hot.

possible blown head gasket, have a leak down test done to see if there is bubbles present in the radiator when looking in through the radiator cap hole. you can also remove spark plugs and see if there is any water or moisture present on plugs.
even though you may have flushed your radiator ( I presume that "you" have done that) there may still be a few bars blocked with dirt etc, you may have to have the top and bottom tank removed and have the individual bars cleaned to make sure there are no blocked bars.
Hope this helps

Where is the coolant drain plug on the engine block on a 1991 Civic DX?

Under the front of the car are two plastic covers to keep dirt from getting up into the engine compartment. Remove the one on the passenger side. The coolant drain plug is on that bottom corner of the radiator. It looks like a wing-nut. Please be gentle because it is just plastic and can easily brake.

The filter is located in the washer bottle itself. Remove the pump(pull out) from the water bottle and the filter is the black seal the pumps fits into. Pull this out and rinse.

disconnect the washer bottle plug connector. then run alive and earth wire direct from battery to washer motor to see if motor works that way, if does then new need a new washer switch on the steering column. if not then replace washer motor. should work after that unless pipes blocked.
