Door ajar notice stays on and the interior lights won't go off when started but goes off very slowly as you drive. is this a door sensor that is broken? how can you tell which door?

Sounds like the dome light has been turned on using the switch on the dash. Most of the time the dash dimmer switch is set up so that if the dimmer is in the maximum position, the dome light can be turned on. If the dome light has been turned on like this, it still will turn off after some time to save your battery. Then when you unlock the door with the remote, it goes back to the same state it was when it was left in - "ON". Check for this switch on the dash, and roll it to get it off of the "ON" position.

I sprayed WD40 in the handle opening and moved it up and down a few times and sprayed some in the latch and it went away.

your alarm system has been tripped when the battery went dead, to get the information on how to reset the alarm is to call the car manufacture to get the procedure, and should not cost you anything.

the actuator for the dome light is actually located inside the lock mechanism. Have you checked to make sure the dome light override button is in the out position?

Hello, I recently had my temp gauge on my 2006 HHR stop working. Now from what I read online it can either be the thermostat or the sensor for the temp gauge because of the restriction of coolant or that the coolant is not getting hot enough and the sensor is not detecting it.I took it to a mechanic and replaced the sensor and the thermostat and the check engine light came off. Hope this helps with the temp gauge issue... Good luck
