SOURCE: interior dome light stays on when driving.

Sounds like the dome light has been turned on using the switch on the dash. Most of the time the dash dimmer switch is set up so that if the dimmer is in the maximum position, the dome light can be turned on. If the dome light has been turned on like this, it still will turn off after some time to save your battery. Then when you unlock the door with the remote, it goes back to the same state it was when it was left in - "ON". Check for this switch on the dash, and roll it to get it off of the "ON" position.

I sprayed WD40 in the handle opening and moved it up and down a few times and sprayed some in the latch and it went away.

SOURCE: 2007 hhr. Battery was drained. Mother left lights

your alarm system has been tripped when the battery went dead, to get the information on how to reset the alarm is to call the car manufacture to get the procedure, and should not cost you anything.

SOURCE: 1999 Chev Silverado Door Light Switch

the actuator for the dome light is actually located inside the lock mechanism. Have you checked to make sure the dome light override button is in the out position?

SOURCE: 2006 Chevrolet HHR LT Problem

Hello, I recently had my temp gauge on my 2006 HHR stop working. Now from what I read online it can either be the thermostat or the sensor for the temp gauge because of the restriction of coolant or that the coolant is not getting hot enough and the sensor is not detecting it.I took it to a mechanic and replaced the sensor and the thermostat and the check engine light came off. Hope this helps with the temp gauge issue... Good luck

Interior roof lights won't go off

This can be caused by a door or trunk being ajar, be sure you shut all doors firmly, if there is still no resolve check by shutting all doors then open one up and press the button (if any) on the inside of the door jam and see if it is broken or the light goes off.

Interior lights won't come on

There should be a switch on the overhead light that you can switch from off to door to on. If in the off position it overrides the lights. In the door setting they will come on when the doors are open. The on position will stay on all of the time.

1999 mercury villager interior light won't go off.

If the door adjar light is on than you have a bad door switch. They are part of the door latch assembly. It is more common for the drivers side to go bad but it could be anny of them. A scan tool would be helpful in narrowing down which one it is. What you can try is spraying carb or brake cleaner into the part of the door that holds the door shut (the latch). Spray it into every nook and crany in that area. Open and close the door several times will a serving the door adjar light. If it goes out problem solved. If it doesn't go out get it scanned to see which one has failed and then pull that door pannel to inspect. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Interior light stay on

Check all door ajar switches on each door & tailgate & hatch. To disable each switch unscrew each switch seperately & unplug light goes out proves which switch is bad. Start with front doors then tailgate then rear doors. Goes by how many times that you really use each seperate door.
