Below I have drawn an arrow to the location of your mass airflow sensor.

If this isn't the same as your engine, just let me know which engine you have and I will have another image for you ASAP.

SOURCE: mass air flow sensor

maf sensors identify the amount of air flow flowing in the intake. the sensor works with the throttle so it knows how much air is coming in to add the proper amount of fuel to mix with the air. Easy to pull and replace.

SOURCE: 000 NISSAN Xterra -- after warming up, loses RPM by 500-1000..... have replaced ignition wires and distributor, checked mass air flow sensor and OK.....

I had a problem on my Nissan Xterra 2000. Symptons sound similar. In my case, it ran fine for a while and then suddenly the engine starts to stumble and lose output. At one point it did not even have enough HP to move. Irregular idling too. Thought it was water in my fuel. Bought water remover from the store and added to gas tank. Problem did not go away. Instead, "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Had to have it towed to the dealer as there was no way the engine could keep up with traffic. Dealer replaced the "Crank Position Sensor" today. Parts $33.00, Labor: $300 (about 3 hrs worth of work). Seems to work fine now but I will wait and see. Dealer also stated that Distributor bearing appears to be noisy and will need to be replaced sooner or later. I will wait for it to go before I fix that.

How do i test the coils and mass air flow sensor?

On the coil, primary resistance should be 0.8 to 1.0 ohms. Secondary resistance should be 7.6 to 11.4 ohms.

I don't think this model/year used a mass air flow sensor - there is no reference to it in either general information regarding the ECCS (electronic control system), or testing of ECCS components in the Haynes manual.

My nissan terrano r3m 91 model has a EXCLAMATION icon with in a circle on the dash that stays on red light it used to turn off once i put down the handbrake, now it stays lighted After I Drain some excess...

I dont think they both use the same waring light, check the switch on the handbrake, and make sure its connecting and turning off correctly, could be a bent or broken bracket.

Need to know how to clean a mas air flow censor on a ford econoline van 91

I don't believe this year model uses a mass air flow sensor, but a map sensor . but to clean a mass air flow sensor, you have to remove it from the sensor housing, then look at the wires in the sensor, then take a cotton swab with alcohol on it and very gently rub the wires with it.
