SOURCE: asc light comes on and engine cuts out

When your ASC light is on this is to let you know your Automatic Stability Control system is switched off press the ASC button Till light is off /ASC is on this works with your rev limiter and should stabilized your idle. If the problem persists have your throttle control unit checked as thi can trigger the ASC light as well and may also activate the ABS light if not fixed

SOURCE: Engine cuts out

BMW CUTS OUT
A few things to check.

  1. Is fuel pump delivering enough fuel.
  2. Is injectors clean. Perhaps dirt in fuel. replace fuel filter
  3. Air leakage at top air intake of manifold at ICV idle control valve. Two hoses inside this housing prone to perishing.
  4. Throttle position sensor faulty.
  5. Mass air flow sensor faulty.
  6. ICV faulty or dirty. comon fault on older e36.
Havent done it yet but ICV is easy to clean according to internet. instruction available at bmw e36 blog. All off above can be tested by yourself according to manual.

SOURCE: bmw m5 e60 2005, engine cutting out when started

Sounds like crank sensor or coil pack failure to me.

Needs a diagnostic machine to explore the ECM

Bmw 316i se 2003 1.9 from time to time when i deriving my car the engine cut off and it takes me around 6 to 10 minutes to start again

I would look into your fuel relay. This is a symptom of it going out. If I am reading this right. As you are driving your vehicle all of the sudden stops and you have to coast to a stop. It then takes some time to get it to start again but turning over fine. If this is the case then what I said should be it.

Radiator removal BMW 316i

hi, the two clamps that secure the radiator have a small slot on the top, if you insert a small screwdriver into the slot and use it as a pry bar you should be able to unclip the holding clamp and it then releases like a hinge.
