check all fuses real good with test ligh..i mean alll fuses.... next sounds like ignition switch might be bad... not supplying voltage to coil in crank position..but when let off cranking it returns back to run position it momentarily causes spark

You will need to have a service manual.
Basically what you need to do is make sure the number one cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke and the valves for the number one cylinder are both closed. You will need to have the timing sprocket at the cam shaft exposed. It will have timing marks which need to be aligned. This is where the manual will come in handy.

Be very careful in moving the crankshaft with the timing belt removed or mis-adjusted. Very very very few engines have clearance between the valves and pistons. If you use the starter to move the crankshaft with the timing sufficiently off, you will bend / break either a valve or piston.

Best of luck, Jim

it should have a distributor, along with a external coil pack. be sure to check the inside of the distributor cap, it could very possibly be cracked , and check for arching, and the rotor also. hope this information has helped you out.
