Keyless remote or interior lights aren't working also resetting all readings including odometer on every start

Keyless remote will not work to unlock doors or open back window not even the panic button. I replaced the battery and checked all the fuses inside the cab all are in working order. Upon further inspection I noticed all of my readouts have been reset including my clock, all odometer settings and mileage readouts. The interior lights are not working EXCLUDING the dash lights and the light inside the glove box.

    The truck is operable. Every time I start it ... It clears the memory of the odomether Trip A & Trip B also there is a setting where the clock is to tell me my average miles per gallon and average miles per hour also mile to go per tank of gas... it resets this as well with every start. I am not able to use either of my keyless entries and must use the drivers door manually to enter the vehicle. The remotes is useless even after a new battery has been installed. Where would I check for a starter relay?? Would that be the fuse box under the hood?? Thank you

This sounds like an issue with the body control module.

Check engine light comes on flashes 3 times

first you have to diagnose the cause of trouble.
How to get the codes on a 1998-1999 Dakota: Depress the trip reset and trip/odometer switches, and, while holding them, turn the ignition to ON/RUN, and wait about 5 seconds. This sends the car through a short self-test sequence that lights all segments of the odometer and shift selector read-out (where applicable). It will then display the stored error codes.
If that doesn't work, try holding in the trip/odometer button while doing the key on/off cycle 3 time. If that doesn't work, some people have reported success by doing the key on/off cycle 10 times instead of 3.
you are unable to pull the trouble codes yourself, wether it be because you aren't doing the procedure right or perhaps your truck doesn't have that feature, most auto parts stores have scanners and will pull your trouble codes for free. I know for sure that Autozone does this, and have heard that many others do as well. (They do this for free because they are hoping that if it turns out to be a bad oxygen sensor, for example, that you will purchase an oxygen sensor from them.) You can also purchase a scanner of your own;

Gmc envoy remote key not working

Sounds like you need a new keyless entry box, but forst try resetting the computer, by taking the positive battery cable off for 10 mins.

If that does not work then seek geting the box for the keyless entry replaced.

Power locks not working right

Hey, this might work.....get in truck, close doors, put key in ignition in lock position.....hold down the door lock button on driver side door control and wait for the lock control to be displayed on the information screen(odometer read-out).....it should say like lock 1, lock 2, lock 3, lock 4.....or something, I always reset mine to LOCK 1, to do this hold the odometer reset button on dash for a sec or two til it changes settings, then release, repeat till you get to LOCK 1, then quickly press and release odometer reset button to exit program, this is the function to lock doors over 15 mph and when out of park and to unlock doors when returned to park......yours' might be set to another function number....try it out, let me know if this helps.........good luck!
