OK so i brought a new Sony explode stereo and want to put it in but i don't know the wiring colors for the stereo that it came which is the original stereo that came with the car it the AE101 model and it has 2 more wires than my new stereo do i need them ? can anyone help please
Go to the auto parts store and get a wire adaptor made for a 1992 trueno. It will plug into your factory harness. The wire colors are prematched to your sony and other aftermarket stereos. Just match the wire colors, splice with connectors making sure no wires are exposed. (A little electrical tape for good measure around splices helps). Then it just plugs in. If your factory stereo has mounts that screw onto the radio, unscrew them and attach them to the sony. Remove sleeve from radio and discard. The screw holes are already on the sony.

Not an appropriate answer. Is it new or used. I think you can do it without diagram. Have 20 years mobile audio exp. Please turn this into a premium question and send it to me. TY

head down to your local auto store and you will be able to pick up a wiring harness adaptor. you wire your stereo to this adaptor then you simply plug it into the wiring loom. no damage to the loom so if you ever need to reinstall the standard stereo its just an unplug and plug back in. its extremely simple and colour coded so there are no mistakes.

Go to your local auto store and get the Hanes auto manual for this care and they should have a wiring schematic for you to follow also you can look your new stereo up on the web and find out what each colored wire goes to what!!! Good luck
