You gave me advice and site for compatibility of my cell phone to 2004 S type. I determined that my phone is compatible with car but the site did not tell me how to program the phone to car. I read something about a pairing code that was provided in vehicle handbook. My car was purchased used and there was no handbook. How would I program and/or get the pairing code. Thanks so much for your help

Hello fellow sufferer ........ You have joined an ever growing club of Jaguar owners who cannot connect any phone other than the one that Jaguar will supply - at large cost.
There does not seem to be an easy answer ... I took my car to a specialist and he could not get it to pair either so I bit the bullet went to the Jag dealer and ..... he couldn't do it !!!!!
I have bought a stand alone blue tooth unit that accepts my phone and my wife's phone and they all log on with no trouble every time I step in the car.
I gave up - but you may be more stubborn - good luck with your quest and please post the solution if you are successful
i have a 2004 xjr with the telephone armrest cradle. The problem is even though i have the factory phone it's not E911 compliant. As a result when it was accidently deactivated it can no longer have service. Be on the lookout for another phone that will fit. Good luck ---- I read on a blog that the CRAVE will work by verizon but have not looked into it yet.
I have done a bit of research, your s type may not have the bluetooth fitted, here is a good site for any questions for your jaguar. http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/jaguar/jaguar_s_type/6924688-1.html
The link is a person who wants to add bluetooth to his jag, follow the thread it sounds like an expensive option$1500. Your phone maybe compatible bit only if you have the option fitted.
hope this helps
Your radio has a built in security device which requires a code being entered should the 12 volt power supply become interupted. Normally this specific code is listed in the vehicle handook documentation keep within glove compartment. If not, contact your nearest Jaguar dealer. They have a data base of all Jaguars sold with such info..
OK - If you are getting the SIG instead of Phone connected in the X Type - You need to enter the code - for the 2007 X Type, the Code is ##3#*# - Which should then say waiting and finally SIG ****** which means it is connectable - To pair your phone, goto bluetooth and pair device, wait until the Jaguar is found. When prompted for the numerical code it is 1313
