This is usually a cracked distributor or bad plug wires water is getting into the system. if you get the car running try looking at the wires and dist. in the dark if you see any sparks replace the parts you see the sparks coming from,

SOURCE: 94 toyota carolla starter clicks eventualy starts

You have two options: replace the starter (easiest, but most expensive), or replace the contacts (cheaper, but more work involved).
In any case, you have to remove the starter. Disconnect the battery BEFORE you start. Locate the starter and remove the wires going to it. The starter is held onto the transmission with 2 large bolts. Remove both, and slide the starter out.

If you want to change the contacts, observe the starter, locate a metal plate held on with 3 bolts. Remove the bolts and the plate. You will now see a plunger, and 2 copper colored contacts. Those are what needs to be replaced. Changing the contacts is easy, just do one at a time, and ensure that all insulators are installed properly on reassembly.

SOURCE: 2007 Toyota carolla will not start. When you turn

Get someone to jump start you might just be a dead battery. let it run for a few then turn it off and try starting it again. if its the same result have your battery and alternator tested. (battery would be the easiest to test first either somewhere like wal mart they test for free. 12.4-12.6 is considered charged 11.5 is considered DEAD) if they come back fine i would check for parasitic draw but it shouldn't cause it to drain the power in the time you turn the key off and back on. also the starter is a possibility.

I was driving my 94 toyota p/u & it just died like it stopped getting gas. i think something may have come loose.any idea on what to check?

Check your battery and alternator connections for tightness. Does it crank over, but won't start? If it won't even crank over, then likely some connection did come loose, like an alternator connection, possibly your fusible link (near the battery).
If it does crank, but won;t start: You'll just have to start from scratch to find the problem. Try to determine if it's fuel or ignition-related. Check for spark at a plug wire. If you have spark, then ignition is not the problem. Check if your fuel pump works. When you turn key on, you should hear the pump buzz on for a couple of seconds. It should also be on when cranking and running, but you can only hear it, or should, when you first turn key to on. If your toyota has a schrader valve on the fuel rail (a valve for checking pressure-it looks like a typical air valve, like on your tire, but is for attaching a fuel pressure gauge) if it has one punch the center with a little screwdriver-gas should shoot out if you have any fuel pressure, If not, have your fuel pressure checked.good luck.

What to do if the alarm keeps going off and the car won't start? Toyota carolla 2010

First of all disconnect the battery, wait 5-10 minutes, then reconnect it to reset the alarm system. If this doesn't work you have to take it to dealership, could be a faulty alarm ecu.
