Intermittent sound of metal on metal, scraping or grinding, medium pitch ( sounds like sheet metal on metal) seems to come from just inside one wheel or the other and higher up than the axle occurs in 2nd gear at about 2000 rpm or less in 3rd gear at about 2500 rpm or less

you need to replace clutch pack for that gear can be ordered seperately from parts store or dealer if you want to save money call peach street auto recycling at 1800-365-2341 for a warrantied used one! also might be time for change trans filter and fluid filter could be slightly clogged but I lean towards clutch pack I replace these alot on Hondas
SOURCE: my 92 honda accord will not go into 1st 3rd or 5th gear
check shift fork adjustment. make sure you bleed the slave cylinder.also check shift cable adjustment.
SOURCE: car makes a high-pitched squealing noise only
Check the belts for slippage and wear. If the tension is not correct, the belts will slip and create a "squealing" noise...moreso at higher rpms or on acceleration as you mentioned....That is the most common cause for a "squeel". I would check that first.
Good luck...i hope this helps fixya up.
