Console has back compartment. Door of compartment is jammed and can't be opened to get out an I pod. Is there a way to open the two doors to the compartment without taking out the center console?

you will have to take most of the drivers side of the dash out to get access to the panel behind the ashtray ,

You will need a replacement center console...dumb design. Once something goes in it can not come out. Think Lobster trap.

Try checking fuses, could be blown.

OPEN MANUALLY AND CHECK THE STRUTS PS. IF WHEN YOU OPEN IT AND IT GOES BACK DOWN THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM
