2006 chevy Malibu lt no low beam head lights no power at fuses swapped relays had power at 2 locations at relay location but still no power at fuses.

The relay isn't being energized (turned on ) That's why there is no power to the fuse's . Probably the switch is bad , but without testing that would be a guess . Have someone switch the headlamps from high to low , do you feel the relay click on ? Does the car have auto light's ? do they work ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to read one ? Use a volt meter to test electric circuits ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click headlamp's . You should see battery voltage at two of the relay pin's , If you look on the bottom of the relay you should see four set's of numbers 30 ,87 & 85 , 86 . If you jumped pin 30 & 87 together with a piece of wire the light's should work . Jump where the relay plugs into the fuse / relay box , not the pin's on the relay . The switch isn't giving ground anymore , this would energize the relay turning on the low beams . Check out the wiring diagram , hope these makes sense .

88 ranger has no head lights or running lights. or dash lights

https://s26.postimg.org/gukptsw7d/headlamps.jpg

Click on the link.
Usually on older vehicles, the headlamps don't use a fuse, but, fusible link, as shown in the diagram. Usually the park lamps and instrument cluster illumination are fuse protected, like the diagram shows, Not only check the fuses, use a test lite to check for voltage at fuse and at fusible link. The wires on top of switch in the diagram are voltage to headlamp switch, the wires on the bottom is voltage from head lamp switch to component.
Usually one of the wires from Battery positive goes to fusible links, at the moment, I don't have location.
Hope this helps, a little. I just want to add voltage and ground both are important.

Blown headlight fuse on 1998 Toyota Corolla.

When a fuse blows (regardless of the car make or model) there are two reasons this may happen:
1) There is a short circuit

2) The wrong fuse was installed

On both cases, the recommendation is that you:
1) Find the fuse box (on most Toyota vehicles it is located in the kick panel to the left of the driver's side.)

2) Remove the fuse box cover and look inside. There should be a diagram telling you which fuse is which.

3) Find and remove the fuse that serves each headlight (there should be one for each. They are both 15 amps or simply have a number 15 on the fuse). If your vehicle is equiped with fog lights, you will see a total of 4 fuses in the fuse box, labled as follows:

Head RH Head LH
Head RL Head LL

4) Inspect the fuses. Make sure the number matches the number in the diagram of the box (if no diagram on the box, then look in your owner's manual, but all I've seen have the diagram)

5) Replace any of the blown fuses WITH THE SAME amp rating fuse (15 Amp). If any of the fuses is not 15 amps, then replace with a 15 Amp.

IMPORTANT: Do not replace with a higher rating!!!!

A blown fuse may be caused by a short circuit. There is a real threat of ELECTRICAL FIRE if a short circuit is not caught in time. This is precisely what the fuses are for.

5) If after replacing the fuse with the correct 15 amp fuse you still have the same problem (i.e. you see the fuse blow when you turn on the headlights) turn the headlights off and consult your repair shop.

Cheers!
