My brother had the same problem. He startd the car and drove it ten yards to get it off the drive. When he went to start it some hours later it wouldn't. It turned over but would not fire. He called Green Flag and was told by the recovery mechanic that he had flodded the plugs as he didn't allow it to warm up for at least five minutes. He also said this was a common problem.

Well be sure to check fuel pressure.. The fuel pumps are known to go out. if no fuel pressure check fuel pump fuse. those tend to blow before the pump actually quits, if it is blown start saving money for the fuel pump. Its fuse in the trunk near the battery if i remember correctly

My brother had a similar problem when he started the car to move it ten yards from his drive to the main road. When he went to put it back a few hours later it would not start but the engine was turning over.
He called Green Flag assistance and when the recovery mechanic arrived he told my brother that he had flodded the plugs by running the car for such a short time. He also advised that the car should run or idle for at least five minutes as this is common.

Hi. My Jag head lights have started this blinking thing. As I am driving they will blink for no apparent reason. There doesn't appear to be anything going on otherwise. Any ideas where to start?

I had an S-Type too, I found this blinking when battery charge was low. So my opinion is something wrong with charging, you have to check battery contacts, measure battery voltage and check alternator. A possible case, contact problem at ECU. THe ECU under the house of pollen filter at engine end. You need some car mechanic ambition to remove the house of pollen filter and to clean ECU connectors with contact cleaner spray.
Of course this is just my experience, no guarantee, this works at you.

200 jag stype no start anti-theft light flashing

Have you another key and fob ?

Try lock/unlock cycle with new key + fob. Your key may be corrupted.

Try also just unlocking the car with the key (not the fob) as soon as you unlock the door put the key in the ignition immediately and see if the car starts.

If you have your radio code it may be worth trying a total reset (leave the car unlocked) disconnect the battery and leave for 20 mins. then reconnect, most systems will then reboot and this MAY help?
Failing all the above it looks like dealer time - more ££ss

good luck !

Jag s type steering lock fault

lock jammed ,??try this but i doubt if it will work ,,,disconnect battery and join the cables together for 30 secs then reconnect battery leads and try again?? if not then strip the covers and look for something stupid around the steering lock like a ball point pen or a earing stuck in mechanism if nothing found just cut it off and fit a new one
