Hatterasnc,

You're alternator has gone bad and the vehicle was running on battery power. The "clicking" sound is your now dead battery that does not have enough power to turn over the starter. You might also want to check your power steering pump for leak. This is a know problem with early LS400s and will most likey be the cause of the alternator failure. I just dropped $1050.00 to fix the very same promblems you have.

that would be the starter gone bad .needs to be replaced,it is a real job the first time around.

SOURCE: got a 93 lexus wont start and make a click sound

this problem is caused by a defective starter soenoid, the heavy starter electrical contacts are burned/erroded, you can either replace the satater motor or replace the solenoid which is mounted on the starter.

2007 Lexus 400h. 200k miles. EXCELLENT shape, great owner/maintained. Having long delay when starting car. the READY light doesn't come on (car doesn't turn on) right away.

These cars a very sensitive about the battery voltage.

Can you ensure the car is in park?
Move lever to D and then back into Park and see what happens.
I have heard with this particular model, we have the environmentally unfriendly RX 330, that the batteries lack of charge may play havock with the electrics in these cars.
I religously charge my battery every six months with a smart charger so its always in peak, I also find a quick zap at the first cold snap of autumn / winter gives us trouble free motoring.

hi,
we have read your problem and understood that your engine is not starting now.please call a local repairman to drain all the diesel and clean the engine carburetor using petrol only.

i make it clear that the engines for petrol and diesel are totally different since the chemical combination of the liquids are also different.they are different like chilli sauce and tomato sauce.diesel cannot be used in petrol engines since they are designed to burn only petrol.i believe you have understood the facts and the differences between the engines of petrol and diesel.thank you, have nice day

Hi.i would like to know how many spark plus use in my RX400h,because i would like to change them but i just can finded 3 spark coil thanks

the 400h h runs with a 3.3 litre V6 engine, 1 plug per cylinder the same engine which powered the RX330 series.
With the engine cover removed you will see the front row and there will be 3 more near the firewall.
It is rare that you would replace these in a 2008 unless you have achieved over 100,000 miles or 160,000km however check with the dealership parts dept.and DO NOT touch any ORANGE high voltage cables

Yea it's built in the computer, from the factory, so that every 27,000 to 30,000 mile you take it in for service..
