I believe it's a warning light related to your catalytic converter..... have it checked out

means your keys are in the car or not in the car or your key has a grey or black head which is a chip for security. sign means nothing in that case
SOURCE: i have a key symbol
This is your security or anti-theft light. Check your owners manual first, but I have reset them on other cars by unhooking the negative battery cable for a minute or two, then using the key fob to lock and unlock the doors a couple of times. I believe your car has a microchip in the key, so make sure nobody tried to start it with a hardware store copy.

Wonder if it is a reminent of an old security system? Rather than taking it out and leaving a hole and wire splices, they just left the armed light there. Just a thought though. Do you have an owners manual? If so, check through it and see if there is a light, that is supposed to be there. Best wishes to you.

Key symbol usually means an anti theft of some type, but likely that would not contribute to a hesitation when starting. I can almost with certainty say that the two issues are coincidental and not part of the same problem, starting with hesitation could be a myriad of problems battery voltage fule filter fuel pump, ignition coil, ignition module distributor if it has one and on and on. The thing is you can not give such a super vague description and expect someone to come and save your day for you, tell us the real conditions does this happen when warm or cold or both by hesitation what do you mean slow turning or not catching when turning also is this intermittent or consistent issue does the issue occur when the light comes on.....You need to give a little more info if you want your problems solved for free....
