Skoda octavia car cranking but not starting.comes to life after long crank but dies off soon.engine compression fine,all electricals are fine.it was a running car which refused to start when i tried starting in the morning.kindly advice.

You haven't given much detail about the car but long crank is normally associated with flooding. Dying out as well may occur due tyo too much fuel. CHECK FOR THAT.

it's a 1.9 tdi.we have already bleeded the entire system.and the engine is not flooded.mechanically it is good.It seems to be the electricals that is playing the fool.the heater relay 103 was not working which was replaced.i am not very good with the electricals.kindly advice

SOURCE: I have skoda luara 1.9 tdi when i start the engine the rpm dosnt stable the torque fluctuates in driving also its missing

would have tuneup preformed is my suggestion first...

most of the clutch hidraulic systems do not have purge valbe for air when I have that problem i follow the same steps of the brakes system and when the fluid is presurised I losse the bottom endon the clutch cylinder a few time untill no bubbles come out and that work for me very good.

Try to the right of the oil filter (as you look at the engine), low down on the cylinder block close to the gearbox.

Have you checked the firing to ignite the fuel? Aside from timing, the proper heating of a glow plug is important to ignition.

When scanned it reads torque converter lock up clutch , , when engine is cold and try the back gear the Skoda Octavia 2007 AT stalls with a big ****, like it does not have a clutch, when i warm it for
