2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee remote starter keeps draining battery

I recently purchased remote starter for 2000 JGC limited and the battery keeps getting drained. Could it be the way that the remote starter was installed. It only started acting up when it got cold. The alternator and starter was checked and they were fine.

2005 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7- After jump starting with a new battery installed, alternator checked and working to keep charge on, car sits for a day and battery is dead. Any reason for the draining? Trailer hitch constant power lead not coroded or compromised-checked that out already. Its got to be discharging somewhere, but where? Any one else have a suggestion or fix?

A Simple Battery DRAW test w/ test light to Determine there is a Draw on Battery. With EVERYTHING OFF will determine that Something is Drawing Battery Down. Test light "Clamp on Neg" At Bat And the POKER AT CABLE, if it lights up you have a Draw
To Determine were it is, Pull Fuses out 1 by 1 Watching Light puting Fuse back in When you Pull a Fuse that turns the Test light off you found the Circuit that is Draining the Battery if it is A Circuit that Remote Starter is Connect to refer to Installer to Correct the Problem

NOTE TEST Light Connected this way and Electrical System in Tact Light WILL NOT BE LIT at ALL
Dont forget to keep doors closed during this Procedure

2001 jgc limited has good battery power turn key to start and dash lights all go out engine wont start headlights dont even dim had the yellow fuse cradle out it had 2 10 amp fuses in it after that this...

A mechanic would check for power at the starter and trace back to the key switch. There is a neutral safety switch to keep you from starting the engine in gear that could have failed.

I have a '93 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2 v8.

Disconnecting your battery, as you must've done when changing the starter, will cause the ecu to revert to factory settings and the computer will have to relearn the proper idle for your jeep.

higher end starters will have the lock/unlock/panic buttons built onto their fob. as for the seats... I dont know why it would interfere with your settings, but who knows... better to ask the seller of the remote start system.

Our 2000 JGC feels like it's ''dragging'' on the highway

try changing the transmission fluid, or lifting your foot off the pedal and reapplying like u would if u had a clutch to get it to force shift.

The only thing that can make the noise is the transmission front pump, if the trans works ok try changing the fluid and filter, it may help or reduce the noise.
