95 camaro 3.4 liter grey smoke out of intake.

Could be a number of things--Suggest you find someone with a scanner that is capable of reading GM specific failure records. That will more than likely give you a place to start.

sound like water got in the engine.check air filter housing check engine crankcase oil level see if water got in crankcase raising oil level. if oi look contaminated change oil and oil filter.

Grey or white smoke indicates a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Pressurize the cooling system and remove the spark-plugs and check for signs of coolant inside the cylinders

You either have a bad ignition module or a
vacuum leak,intake manifold,PCV Hose,etc
that effects cyl #3

Ohm Checking is for the 1980's

Todays tool is an oscilloscope, you won't
have at home.

Also Smoke the intake and EVAP System
for leaks (EVAP Smoke Machine)

IT PROBABLY NEEDS A HEAD GASKET

3.4 liter, you may have a bad water pump or at worst you have a bad intake manifold gasket which is a common failure to the 3.4 liter V6 engines. Start with the simple, flush out the cooling system and replace the thermostat. Inspect any signs of possible intake gasket failure and head gasket failure and replace. After that has been inspected, move on to a possible weak water pump and will need to be replaced. Good luck and hope this helps.

these cars have issues with coolent getting into the intake... headgaskets are not one of the issues . check plugs for coolent. upper plastic intake has coolent flow in to chambers if u will, and over time they get micro cracks and brittle ...lower intake manifold gaskets are plastic also. ..cyl. heads are cast iron not alluminum . lower intake manifold is alluminum and upper intake is plastic .. on my lesabre a plastic 90 degree elbow connected to the lower intake manifold to the heater hose housing. the belt tensioner is connected to this housing im refering to. not saying for sure, but if it is this is usually why...

Loud popping in the intake means that the unburnt gas exploding in intake.... Check cranks sensor and gear. Gear may dirty or even damage or BAD crank sensor the sensor provides reference for spark signal. So this may be your problem. Contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA
