Question about 2008 Infiniti G37
My g37 will start up but after 5mins of warming up it will just shutoff, now my keyless remote won't even open the car or start it unless its in the key charging port.... Any suggestions what this might be? Also went to mechanic and no codes popped up

SOURCE: Factory car alarm activates at high temparature
Hello! There is a Hood Switch designed to operate the Alarm If the hood is opened when the car is locked with alarm set...The Hood Switch is affected by heat from the engine plus the ambient temperature...The wire colors on the two pin switch connector are...Black/Pink and Black...Replace the switch OR clip a wire across those two pins which tells the system the switch is permanently closed...If this doesn't work, try disconnecting the connector which leaves the switch permanently open...I believe if you short out the switch the system won't know and the trouble will be removed...Guru...saailer

SOURCE: Having Trouble Starting up G37
For about 2 wks ive had some trouble starting my Infiniti G37. every once and a while when i start up my truck it had some trouble but it would eventually start. it would only take me about once or twice to start it. i thought it was a cold engine problem. but now the ****** wont even start at all. all i can hear is the clicking noise. i know its not the battery cause it shows it is pretty well charged on the instrument panel window when my truck is actually running. so not being much of a gearhead can anyone help me out. is it something i can fix without getting any parts? or am i doomed to being a whole new starter. btw it started today with the help of jumper cables. but like i said i dont think its the battery but i can be wrong.

You need a battery. That gauge on the dash is for the alternator not the battery. If you take it to a Nissan/Infinity dealer or for that matter any shop with a good battery/starter/charging tester you will know for sure but most likely its just a bad battery.

yea replace the battery a volt meter wont tell u if the battery is good just the voltage.14 volt reading is with the car running i assume, this means the alternator is charging
