I hit the traction control button and the written dummy light said that the traction control was turned off but it wasn't actually turned off. No difference in performance and the symbol dummy light stayed on. Now the written lights rotated between "traction control off" and "reduced power to engine" and "service traction control." So, I parked the car, shut down the engine. Waited a few seconds, restarted the car, and tried to turn the traction control off again. Same thing. The written dummy light said it was off, but it wasn't off. Still had reduced power, symbol dummy lights, all things.
Reduced power is a problem with electronic throttle contol . drive by wire . Do you know what this is ? Taking the vehicle an having it hooked up to diagnostic tool an checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes is always a first step when trying to find the root cause of any trouble light ! And not auto zone , pep boys , or advance auto parts . Thier diagnostic tool will not check codes in all system control modules .

Second there is issues with the actuator on the throttle body binding up and causing the codes.
Third there is a yellow wire coming off the throttle body connector that breaks inside internally and cannot be seen to the naked eye. The best way to test that is to grab the wire about 5 inches from the connector and tug if it feels spongy or breaks, that
