4.6 V8/5 speed manual, truck idles rough and hesitates when accelerating below 2000rpm. problem is very slight when engine reaches operating temp.

It can be issue
with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem. There

There are 2 common problems on this concern. 1st maybe a dirty MAF sensor. Remove the MAF sensor and clean it with a good electrical cleaner and air dry or light shop air,then reinstall and do a couple of wide open throttle burst to reset it.
2nd problem and we see alot of this is the orings between the upper and lower intake manifold leaks.You would have to remove the upper intake manifold and replace them.

Check the Catalytic Converter. When they start becoming plugged the insides expand as they heat up causing engine to act as if it is running out of fuel.

Check all the vacuum hoses to the large black intake tube.the crank case breather tube used to come off, causing rough idle, stalling and hesitation.

did you change fuel filter? also your fuel pump is starting to fail.how about air filter.
