I just went to the Hyundai dealer for the same problem. I have an 06 Sonata GLS with 54k. The ESC light and ABS light would come on intermittenly. After starting the car, they would go away but would come on occassionally. Anyway, the tech checked the brake circuit and found one of the brake sensor was bad and replaced it under warranty. It costed me nothing.

Your brake pedal needs adjusting! And your brakes need to be replaced! Did the people @ midas look for any air bubbles while they replaced the Master cylinder? Did they get them out? Did they even look at the brakes? All of them?

I had this problem with my 2007 HHR. I drove away with the service engine and the service traction light on. The car was stuttering through the gears. I took it back and they checked it. They disconnect some wires while they change the oil and one was loose. The service engine turned off but the service traction stayed on. We disconnected the battery for 3 minutes and it fixed the problem. Some of those other guys spent up to 300 dollars to fix the problem. Hope it works out for you.

Ok I look under the car to check the wire instalation, I found a two wires that was cutted, apparently the car was lifting wrong with a jack and this cut the wire. I reenstall them and now the ESC light is off , Good Luck and thank to everyboby.
