Question about Subaru Forester
As I could not find a fuse for the window switch in the drivers door I pulled out every fuse one after the other to check but none was blown. Getting back into the car I learned that I had no a/c, inside light, clock, radio and others. I am assuming that I upset the computer and wonder how I can get that reset. any clues???? Hi to reset computer just unhook the battery leads for an hour or so, Also check your fuses again, this time with a tester. Sometimes the break in the fuse wire is so small you miss it. Also you may have a loose connection(fuse not pushes all the way in). Check your relay switches in the black box in the engine bay as well as the fuses in the same box. Hope this helps.

Go to www.subaruforester,org and do a search for clock. This is a chronic problem but if you're handy with a soldering gun you can fix it yourself.

Drop in to an Autozone, or Pep Boys, or similar big parts store & they will usually scan for codes free. This will hopefully eliminate all the guess work, or at least point everyone in right direction for better diagnosis. If not obvious from codes what the problem is, get back to us and we'll help you out.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the great suggestion . I'll have Autozone read the codes on Monday. Thanks again!"
Is this for a 1999 Forester or for a 2004 forester, the title lists both years. If it is a 1999 model then the problem most likely resides within the clock itself. Unfortunately, many clocks of this vintage go bad over time.
I offer a reasonable repair service and many clock removal instruction
sheets at www.autoclockrepair.com
I'd be happy to assist.
