yes you can run a heavy gage wire to it from the batters or any high amp fuse but look in the problem first .there are only few things in the blower motor. motor it self , the switch and the blower motor resistor. one time on a maxima i had this problem which seems like a loose connection but the problem was in resistior .

2004 Kia Optima blower motor works but is not getting any power

If you hook up a test lite to the wires going to the blower motor and
you have power the motors bad. If not its in your fuses, relays, or in the
the wiring itself. If its not fuses or relays inspect the wiring for wearing
or split wire. this would cause a short. You will have to trace the wire from
motor to under the hood to fully check it. hope that helps. Ps an OWNERS
MANUAL for the car helps a lot.

I have no power to my blower motor on my 2005 kia sportage and the fuse is not blown . i tryed my blower motor directly to my battery and the blower works finecan you help me please

You have a blower motor relay or a blower motor resister that could be bad.The relay is part # 1R2122 $20.79 at rockauto.com. You could jump the relay to see if that's your problem. The Resister is # RU474 $42.89. I would start with the relay. Your switch could also be bad. A simple 12V circuit tester will tell you if you are getting power to the relay terminals.

The blower fuse on my 2005 Kia Amanti has blown after only two weeks. Could a faulty blower replay be the problem

well first check the relay, and make sure power is going to blower motor., if it is then the blower motor may be bad and drawing to much juice and shorting it out enough to blow the fuse or relay. good luck!!
