P0134 codes

Bob;
A code P0134 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Bad O2 (oxygen) sensor
  • Bad heater circuit in the O2 sensor
  • Wiring or connector to the sensor frayed / broken
  • Blown heater circuit fuse
  • Holes in the exhaust system
  • PCM failure
Possible Solutions The most common fix is to replace the oxygen sensor. But that doesn't rule out the possibility of:
  • Rusted exhaust pipe
  • Inspect wiring & connector(s) for problems
  • Excessive amperage blowing heater fuse (still requires replacement of sensor but also replacement of blown fuse)
  • Replace PCM (only as last resort after all other possibilities are covered.

I have a 2001 Ford Focus DOHC. Heater doesn't blow hot. Hot cold indicator switch clicks as i9t should when I turn indicator but it doesn't seem to change anything

Feel your heater hoses and see if they are getting hot..If so when your click from the switch ,,make sure the door is switching from hot to cold

Temperature gauge fluctuates and the heater blows cold air

Definitely check your fluid level in your radiator. Top it off all the way. I've seen that happen multiple times on cars that were low on anti-freeze. If that doesn't work try replacing your thermostat. It's cheap and the easiest place to start if topping off the fluid doesn't get you fixed up.
