You will have to access the lock mec from the inside of the trunk. By removing the trim panels to access it. Or if the lock mec is not destroyed like someone has to to break into it. You can have a locksmith rekey the tumblers to match your existing door key. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1989 Camaro. Trunk latch will not catch and

Lube it up well & try a screwdriver in latch, the same way it would catch on striker on body and see if it snaps in and holds, if it doesn't, keep lubricating latch and try again until it does. Work key position in lock as well, to make sure it is actually in the latch position & not stuck in open position.When/if it does, and still won't hold closed, then you need to loosen bolts at latch and adjust a little at a time until it does.

The key fob trunk button and the button inside the car will not open my trunk, my Camaro is a convertible. How can I open the trunk we have perishables in there.

Here's what I found:

The top has to be all the way down or all the way up and locked or else the trunk won't open.

If there truly was a malfunction there is a key hole for the trunk between the rear seat and the driver side sail panel.

Can't get trunk open 1989 buick park ave. altra keys locked in trunk

Call a lock smith. Your insurance will most likely pay for lockout service. Your other choice is to pry the lock out, and then use a large screwdriver to turn the latch, which will open the trunk.
I'd go with the first option!

Rear motorized hatch stuck in up posotion

I had this same problem. Try slamming the trunk close so that the latch on the door of the trunk will catch onto the motor and then try opening it back up with the key, That worked for me. If not you just may need a new motor.
