My 1999 buick centry, when you start it up it start's low then it idel real high,if i put it in drive then it calm down, i can drive it and it drive good, but if you take your foot off the breaks the car will pull forwards. then when i stop to park, and switch gares to park it ideling way high again. can you please help? thank you.
You have a failed IAC (Idle air control valve) its on the throttle body,
Thank you Reynaldo, but i changwd the iac, and i also changed the tps sensor. but it still idle high.
There is a vacuum leak,at idle when the engine warm and at operating temperature put your hand on the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) if it is hot to touch the leak is at the EGR, check also the PCV hose see if the hose is ruptured takiung in false air,somehow there is a vacuum leak its the only thing other than a binding accelerating cable that can cause this

sounds lik either a fuel filter plugged or the cat is plugged, check fuel pressure or just replace filter and if that isn't it have a muffler shop check the exhaust for excessive back pressure.

Ros.....The heater motor is located under the dash on the right hand side (passanger side). You will have to remove the close out panel to access. The resistor you are looking for will be to the lower left of the fan motor at about the 7:00 position. Illustration is below.
let me know.

It could easily be running out of fuel - the fuel filter. And possibly the fuel pump. I would check the fuel filter first. hope this helps you, Rick
