This problem was intermitant for a while but now is a hard fail. The engine starts for a spit second and dies. in the past when the lower instument panel lights are on the engine starts when off no start. Could it be a PMU?

I have a 1999 sebring JX conv. It was doing the same thing. It turned out to be barometric pressure sensor. It was forcing the computer into backup mode. I took it to Chrysler and it has ran perfect.

Check engine for vacuum leaks at all hoses, hose connections, intake gasket etc. I have also seen retarded engine timing produce low vacuum. If no leaks, check anything in control system that controls timing...however, I believe you will find a leak before you need to go there. Also check Idle control valve and egr valve for malfunction or blockages.

IT APPEARS YOU VEHICLE IS NOT COMUNICATING WITH THE ELECTRONIC CHIP IN YOUR KEY. HAVE YOU CHANGED CAR KEYS RECENTLY IE USING A SPARE KEY? IF SO TRY USING THE ORIGINAL KEY. ALSO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL CAR KEYS ON THE KEY RING. IF THAT FAILS, I WILL SUGGEST YOU HAVE THE KEY/S PAIRED WITH THE CAR AGAIN.

Don't try start the engine when the oil light turn on, it would harm your piston, camshaft and crankshaft
It should be the oil pump has broken and need to replace, tow your car to the nearest service center
