Question about 2003 Ford Focus
I have a 1997 Ford taurus sho and cylinder #1 has a misfire I swaped the ignition coil from cylinder #2 to #1 and the cylinder on #1 still is the one misfiring so the problem is not in the coil. The Question I have is what would the problem be considering I Put lucus Injector cleaner and dry gas to unclogg any clogged injectors and cylinder #1 still misfires what would be the problem?
Did you check the condition of the spark plug? If the plug is good do a compression check; a very low reading could indicate a sticking intake valve (sticking open). The easyest and cheapest way to fix a sticking valve is to introduce 1/2 can of Sea Foam into the air intake manafold; just follow the instructions on the can except you will use 1/2 can instead of 1/3 can. That Yamaha motor from what I have found collects tons of gunk on the valve stems. Good luck.

Do a compression check. if you have a low compreeion reading below 80psi you need to do a head job. question is the iol milky on the dip stick?
