2000 expedition transmission just rebuild but wont shift fron 1st gear

Bad sprag one way drive clutch is bad no trainsmisson shop will tell you that an charge for a rebuild ur welcome guys don't believe me jack the back tires off the ground put the truck in drive I bet the tires spin an tyranny will shift fine drop the back back down won't move my 2005 5.4 2wd it done the same thing

The shifter needs to be inspected. The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There are many other possibilities. But if it was working right up till now and suddenly this occurred then its shifter assembly alignment issue.

sounds like its time to rebuild it including a new shift valve body

The connection between the brake cable and shifter must be out of adjustment.don-ohio

This car 100% have transmission gear box problems.The transmission gear box have be taken aparts and parts have to rebuild it and changes shafting shifting gear rods and parts of transmission gear box.This car have be taken in into in a transmission spacialist places that u get have a price quote u like and have be to work on to rebuild the tranmission gear box and changing parts for the car transmission.

The shift solenoid for going into 2nd or 3rd gear is likely bad. May require a rebuild to rectify the problem.

It sounds like the torque converter is burned up, and will have to be replaced. If the TC is new, it should be replaced under warranty. If it was the old TC, you should ask the rebuilder/installer to install a new one that you would pay for (but not the install since they damaged your old one).

THIS STUFF IS AWESOME AND HAS WORKED WONDERS FOR MY EXPEDITION. DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP STUFF. THIS STUFF IS AS THICK AS HONEY AND WILL TAKE ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES TO ADD TO YOUR TRANNY.

I am asumin your saying that the transmission wont shift from 1st to 2nd gears. What this could be is either a low fliuid problem or an internal failure of the transmission. I believe the transmission govenor on those units can cause a bad hifting problem. Looks like your set for a tranny rebuild
