My car wont start, it just keeps cutting out when I try to start it
If immobiliser light stays on and my renault megane 1.6 hatchback wont start whats the problem

work it manually and it should work ...ie put the key in the door and open and lock the door 3 times slowly then jump in and try to start within 15 secs .if it doesnt work then be prepared to be fleeced and lay the golden egg at the dealers

the carb needs cleaning, thats what it was on mine, i thought it was spark plugs but took it back to main dealer and they fixed it but cost £££

if you have a key fob and not a key card.... the lazer bulb has snapped off in your key fob. you will need to move the bulbs pins to the other side of the chip board and solder it back on (the pins will still be in the correct place)

the pins on the lazer bulb in your keyfob has snapped off caused buy pressing the button too hard. (the red light will still come on but the key wont work)
heres what to do
open your keyfob and pull the lazer bulbs pins to the other side of the chip board. solder it to the wrong side where you see the nipples (dont worry there still in the right place) and shove a bit of bog roll in there to stop the chip board moveing when you press the button
