Question about Cars & Trucks
Is there a way to get into the corvette without the remote so I can release the hood to check the battery? If the battery has gone dead will I need to have the corvette reprogrammed so it will talk to the remote? Is there a trick to replacing the battery in the remote so that it won't lose programming?
Changing the battery in the remote won't affect the programming, and neither should a dead car battery. I am surprised there is no keyed entry on the driver's door.

SOURCE: CAR IS LOCKED, BATTERY DEAD,
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Sir it's impossible to open the hood from the outside if it's locked. There's no way to enter the door for the battery is dead. It's sad to say that the only option we got is to break the side glass to gain access to the locks. It's the only easiest way though I know it's sound crazy.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
