there should be a small plastic piece that is below the D in the shifter column. this piece is hinged. a small screwdriver or pen works to push down in and unlock the shifter. After putting back in park the piece will return to original position. recommend having shift linkage looked at for adjustment at tranny shop. ETS light known to come on after 80 to 100k miles. still could have diagnostic done, shop can take light off if all clear.
